How will it end?
My take is that it will be a good thing.
There are too many variables in play to guess how it will play out but guesses are based on what makes practical sense.
I'm curious any good or bad things you see coming after the reset OR maybe you don't see an economic reset on the horizon.
I don't think there will be a big reset. I imagine it will do what it tends to do which is a stock market collapse and rebound where a bunch of people are smashed and lose a lot and others are better off from it years later. But I see it being similar to times in the past (like 2008), I don't see any digital currency taking over anytime soon, or any major leaps forward. Just another dip / short term turmoil and a rebound. Next 10 to 15 years will probably feel a lot like the last 5 years or so but with more emphasis on solar/wind and trying to do nuclear better. Plus some more advanced technology in a lot of the things we interact with daily, but nothing mind blowing.
I also don't see technology as a whole making our life a lot easier for awhile yet. I would argue that it has made our lives more complex and more painful. Now we're trying to connect up home security systems to our phones, messing around with Google assistants and connecting them to Spotify, wondering why X, Y or Z isn't working right now. We have to understand these things for them to work right usually and if it goes wrong it's a huge pita. It's getting much better, my new car with Carplay for the most part has been flawless. So, that's encouraging. But - REALLY - not all much of a difference between me plugging my phone into the aux cable and have it mounted next to my steering wheel. A lot more shit to go wrong or not work or be annoyed with if it's now running flawless.
Things are just changing so fast that it's very hard for older people to understand what's happening or use things. Everytime they go to the grocery store there is some new self checkout interface, or now they have to insert their card versus swipe it, or enter their email for a receipt. Change is hard, and technology is pushing change very fast.
Overall it's very tricky for humans to embrace and adopt these things and can be very stressful for many.
Even though this is a bit pessimistic, I am an optimist about the future.
I do think it will continue to get better but not via a great reset, but just slowly step by step forward and working through it.
I think about it at least weekly though - humans were designed to roam, hunt, gather, socialize, and use our bodies. However, we seem to be optimizing for sitting in a chair and using our weakest muscles (our fingers) all day and it's making a ton of people sick. When they're not in front of their computer working, they're sitting in a chair thumbing their phone. Hand problems, back problems, workplace stress, etc. THIS is where I'd like to see more thought and effort placed going forward.
