I wanted to learn some no-code tools and work on audience building as well as recruiting for UGC. Audience building can be tough! Recruiting influencers seems relatively simple though. Lots of automation built into this, to make it simple to manage. Webflow, Zapier, GSheets, Mailchimp.
My wife and I are big dog fans, we always try to identify them when we see them around town. Recognizing dogs as a popular niche, I thought it would make for a good topic to build a newsletter around. I reach out to dog influencers on Instagram to feature their dog. Then I build out the newsletter with some breed-specific research on Wikipedia and the AKC. I try to call out interesting breed facts, without making the newsletter too verbose. Then I find a piece of dog news and a book to include.
Influencer intake is automated, I get permission from them to include them in a brand-facing database. I'll be building access to this database soon, so dog-interested brands can filter through the database to find the right influencer to work with.
The newsletter creation is also automated - form fields populate merge variables in a Mailchimp template. Right now I'm spending the most time doing breed and book research and iterating on the look/feel of the actual website.
This is an MVP. If you like dogs, sign up! A new dog every day, some facts and news and more. AMA.
