The decision is final, we're bootstrapping next 18 months

I'm afraid right now. We made the decision in the 5-min daily meeting today.

Here's the story and why we decided it:

We've been working on our solution part-time, 2 co-founders, both technical and have already validated everything. We're starting to develop our SaaS and we found out how great a product we could make without any funding.

But the smartest investors are investing right now (during recession).

So we're going to open an exclusive funding round that only business angels that join us as advisors can enter. So first, the join as advisors, and they're given the option to have more equity for $15K tickets. Maximum 4 tickets.

This is a way to create a sense of exclusivity and defining a clear culture of "you invest in us as a favor".

BS apart, we're not using that money. But we still have it to:

· Cover costs of interns that reduce workload, but don't drive product development
· Have accumulated cash flow in case of a geopolitical disaster
· Have accumulated cash flow in case we need to speed up patent filing to win the AI race against our competitors

So that money would be only used in case a specific event happened (we called them money-spend triggers).

Is it a great strategy? Have you seen anyone do it? How did it go? Would love to hear you all.

PS: the website is being revamped right now.

This is a pretty common and proven strategy. Good luck!
