The Easiest Home Upgrade I’ve Made on a Budget

Quick home-refresh tip: if you want a noticeable transformation without spending a fortune, don’t underestimate your door handles.

I recently replaced all the generic brass levers in our flat with black vintage-style knobs from Infinity Decor, and the difference was surprisingly dramatic.

The matte black finish instantly made the doors look more modern, stylish, and expensive. The knobs also feel solid in the hand, and the mortice mechanism has a really satisfying, crisp action.

The best part? The entire upgrade took just an afternoon and a screwdriver.

No major renovation.
No messy construction.
No huge budget.

Just changing one small detail created a much more cohesive look throughout the home.

It reminded me that good product design doesn't always have to be complicated. Sometimes a relatively small, affordable change can completely alter how a space feels.

If you're planning a budget-friendly home refresh, upgrading your door handles might be one of the easiest places to start.

Have you made any small home improvements that had a surprisingly big impact?
