The easiest way to improve conversion is to remove one step

A simple rule I’ve seen work across products:

If users don’t activate or convert, remove ONE step before adding anything new.

Most startups lose people because:
• the first action takes too long
• there’s no immediate “win moment”
• the value isn’t obvious quickly

A good test:
Can a new user experience the core value in under 60 seconds?

If not, simplify.
One fewer step often beats ten new features.
