The Easiest Web Builder?
I was talking to a friend of mine, and he brought up a pain point of the current web builders IE wordpress is too confusing / bloated, and wix is just horrible to use.
Most people (small businesses, people just wanting to get online) are more interested in filling out their content, then they are moving elements around, making sure that there's enough margin or padding.
Web builders also still come with a learning curve: web design. There are best practices in web design, such as font hierarchy, spacing etc.
Then we came up with the idea, of the easiest web builder in the world.
Essentially, we would design high quality templates, and the allow the user to pick the template, then fill out the content. That's it.
It's a simple CMS that literally just deals with the content, and not shifting elements or adding new pages.
99% of landing pages have the same structure.
Most small businesses just need a 5 page website.
If the templates are of high quality, then there would be no need for people to add or remove elements.
What do you guys think?
Having worked with clients they ALWAYS want something customised.
We built http://versoly.com/ and I do actually plan on adding an option where clients can only edit text and images. That way they can't mess up the designs.
