The end of AppSumo as we know it? Launching today on Producthunt.

Makers, as of today there is less need to use (and pay 70% commission to) AppSumo.

Introducing omus.ltd, which features lifetime deals you wont find (easily) elsewhere. Listing for self hosted lifetime deals by maker will always be free.

I was searching for LTD platform so let's try it :)

Congrats on the launch! How did you first get all the initial deals? Sourcing online? Reaching out to founders?

Mainly search for lifetime deal on Twitter and indiehackers, and reading the promo 'tab' of new launches on product hunt.

Seems great, but this feels like the chicken and egg paradox.

To get good apps to list on your website, you need an audience, and to get an audience, you need good deals.

Yes, listing is done manually be
by me searching. But getting readers by promoting is slow, so far.

This is great, but how do you add a product to this?

    1. 1

Just do it through the contact form.

Or post it in the comment

Congrats on the launch! Great Idea How do you ensure the authenticity and legitimacy of the lifetime deals listed on Omus, given that they're directly from the makers' websites and not via platforms like AppSumo?

I do a cursory common sense check, but nothing in depth. It's a free service and we don't have a contractual relation with the makers.

Buyers have more risk, but also know that those desks are not on appsumo, and that makers get at of the money. (Appsumo charges up to 70%).
