The Schengen 90/180 rule catches people out because the 180 days never reset. The window looks back 180 days from every single day, and the days you spend come back one at a time exactly 180 days later, so a trip in March can still be costing you days in September.
The EU's own EES checker says on its page that the figure it gives does not reflect any time spent in the Schengen area that began before 10 April 2026. If your travelling started before that date, the official answer is not your answer.
So there is a free one here: https://daywindow.pages.dev
Put the trips in and it gives you days used, days left, and the date you have to leave. It runs entirely in the browser: no analytics, no requests going out, nothing written to storage, and no sign-up.
If you travel on the 90/180 rule, how are you keeping count at the moment?
