The exact reason that pushed us to build and launch our SaaS product🚀

Sometimes, the best business ideas don't come from a smart brainstorming session. They come from your own painful, everyday problems. That is exactly what happened to us.

We are a hybrid team. Some of us work from home, while others work from the office. In the beginning, we thought this would be easy. We thought a simple chat app would keep us connected. But honestly? Everything broke down fast.

It became a complete mess:

Important project updates got buried under casual chats.

Team members missed deadlines because they simply didn't see the tasks.

Everyone started working in silos, not knowing what the other person was doing.

We were wasting hours every single day in long, boring meetings just trying to figure out who was doing what. It felt like we were running in circles, and the frustration was real.

But then, we stopped complaining and started thinking.

We realized that if we were struggling this much, thousands of other hybrid teams around the world must be facing the exact same headache. That frustration became the exact reason that pushed us to build and launch our own SaaS- Trackly.

Because we lived the problem every day, we didn't need to guess what features to build. We knew exactly what a hybrid team needs to keep workflows smooth, transparent, and easy without losing mind in endless chats.

Our biggest lesson :
Don't ignore the daily frustrations inside your own team. That headache is actually a goldmine. When you solve a real problem that you experience yourself, you don't just build another SaaS you build a solution that people actually need.

Are you running a hybrid or remote team right now? What is the number one workflow problem you are trying to fix? And share how you manage all this!

This is a goldmine of advice. Building a solution for your own team’s pain point gives you an unfair advantage in understanding the UX. Since you mentioned managing a hybrid team, what was the hardest part about getting your own team to adopt Trackly initially, or did they switch over seamlessly?

Getting our team to switch wasn’t completely seamless. The hardest part was breaking the muscle memory of using old chat apps for updates.

In the beginning, people kept falling back into messy chat routines out of habit. We had to enforce a strict rule: if an important update isn’t on Trackly, it doesn’t exist. Once they saw how much time it saved them from long alignment meetings, everyone completely got on board.

Absolutely agree! The strongest SaaS ideas usually start with a real problem, not just an idea on paper. When you experience the challenge yourself, you understand what teams actually need.

Great reminder that everyday frustrations can turn into meaningful solutions.

The best intuition comes from being your own target user. It makes the grind totally worth it!

Honestly this is super cool but I want to ask that, what was the biggest challenge you faced while building Trackly, and how did you overcome it?

Great question! Honestly, our biggest challenge was scope creep. Because we were solving our own problems, we wanted to build everything at once task tracking, real-time chat, video huddles, etc.

We overcame it by forcing ourselves to ruthlessly prioritize. We stripped it down to the absolute core MVP features that solved our immediate communication gaps and left the rest for later updates
