what's up guys?
can you take just 2 minutes to give me an advice?
i got a few ideas for a newsletter, but have no idea how to validate them. so where and how should i do that?
Find 10 friends, send them the first issue with their permission and see what happens. The funny thing with newsletters is, you can always change the format ;-)
interesting thoughts, thanks!
I came here to say this :)
Launch newsletter and see. There is no other way :D
Someone could create a landing page. set the "issue 1" date in a couple weeks. Create an issue 0 for an example.
I sorta did this. I launched a landing page, and told myself "If 1 person signs up I'm sending issue 1". I gave myself only 6 days.
haha. probably most comprehensive advice out here, thanks!
Andrew gave good point. It will take you half hour to set up landing page. Then try to promote it. That's how I also did for my newsletter - first got some subscribers than sent first issue.

Hey @alexander_galitsky - just start a conversation and we can take it from there.
I'm also a newsletter newbie, currently running this newsletter, are you on Twitter? Let's chat, here's mine
yo
i'm down, just sent you a message on twitter.
this is mine - https://twitter.com/mr_ag94
The cost of setting up a newsletter on a free platform is so low you might as well launch the real thing.
yeah, you're right!
it's beside the point, but just noticed you like astronomy/space field.
so what newsletters or blogs would you recommend to read?
I maintain a list of my favorite newsletters, including The Rocket Report. I also recommend the Planetary Society Blog and The Space Review.
Pick a topic you know, send out a sample, promote on various sites/forums. Then ask for feedback. Shorter questions, and see what the general feedback is. If you provide value, and they are the desired end user, they will share their thoughts with you.
sounds pretty damn good, thanks!
Taken from the advice of @frankmeeuwsen and @AndrewKamphey, make an issue #0 and send out to who ever you deem at an ideal subscriber.
will try it, thanks.
What are you validating? That someone wants to hear what you have to say? You can write blog post. Why a newsletter?
Do you want to send something to your existing audience and keep them hyped? then you already have an audience, send them something.
have no audience yet. just ideas.
creating a landing page with "the issue 1" date sounds really great, thanks man!
Set up a landing page and email service and reach out 1 on 1 to your ideal audience. Tell them what you’re working on and would love some feedback.
thanks for your reply, man.
i'll give it a try!
