Early-stage products evolve fast.What feels “essential” now often turns out to be noise.
That’s why I always ask:Do we need this for launch — or are we just building for our ego?
That is true MVP by its very nature has to be just effective enough to solve a problem . It is there to generate feedback which can then be used to further enhance upon the MVP.
Maybe however in most cases obsession with something destroyed it bad way though not practical
Most of the time, it’s ego. And now, with all these AI tools, I find myself thinking, "Even though my MVP doesn’t need this feature, I can build it in just a few hours with AI assistants, so why not?" But that mindset led me into a trap: maintaining something my MVP never needed.
I agree, launch a functional mvp and build from there
True...ego-driven features are the fastest way to derail early-stage focus..
