I'm a solo fractional CTO. My buyers need to trust I know what I'm talking about before they'll book a call. Cold outreach doesn't work for this.
So I flipped it. I built a free interactive guide that does my entire first-call pitch before I ever talk to anyone. It covers agentic AI coding for non-technical leaders: what it changes, the economics, what most teams get wrong, and a 90-day rollout plan.
The key was making it interactive, not just another blog post. Static content gets skimmed. Interactive tools make people engage with their own numbers.
I themed it like Windows 95 with a SkiFree minigame because every other AI thought leadership page looks identical. The retro UI makes it shareable in a way that polished-but-generic never will.
No email gate. My buyer either has the problem right now or they don't. The guide qualifies them. If they want help implementing, my contact info is right there.
The bet: someone who spends 15 minutes with the calculator, sees their team is leaving $300k/year on the table, and reads a concrete plan to fix it is more ready to buy than any lead I could cold-generate.
Here's the guide: https://gabezen.com/guide/
Happy to break down any part of the approach.
