The front page of Hacker News will get you 4k-6k visitors
Hi folks. Over the last year I've had four of my submissions appear on the front page of HN. Here's a deep dive into what I posted and how many visitors it got me:
First, for context, all four of these posts appeared in the top 10 of HN. Also, this may be undercounting the number of visitors since the source of the visitor may have been hidden.

The surprising thing for me is that a higher engagement does not mean more visitors. The 4th post in the list had the highest engagement but the second lowest visitors
