Since launching v4.0 of Lazy Jar on the first of the month.
Total downloads: 102 Number of users: 58 Number of active users: 5
This funnel is depressing.
That's a perfectly normal funnel, you're doing it right. It's just that your product is not for everyone (of course). Time to start iterating.
fwiw across mobile apps I've developed/worked with, we're usually able to see a 70-80% download to reg rate.
Agreed. It's definitely not for everyone. That's definitely part of it. But I think I may have added a lot of friction in the onboarding process.
Close to 5%, first month.... IMO not bad at all!
You might want to focus on the 2nd funnel now. Ask yourself "How come 58 -> 5, but not 58 -> 10?"
Precisely what am currently working on. I got some great feedback on how it could be improved. Reducing friction during the onboarding process.
I know what you mean. It's been the same for me ever since I started. But you have users! Have you asked them, if there is something you could improve?
One feedback is that the app doesn't support their device. Or the user isn't an Apple Watch user.
You only get to communicate with the users via the app store, do you?
Looks like a fun idea by the way. Not sure if I need an app to punish myself on top of my conscience though 🤔
Currently using Intercom to get feedback from within the app.
Ok, that's nice!
I invited you to a discussion about your product. Will you sell it to me?
Not sure exactly where the invite was sent, but I didn’t get it.
Wow. Flattered that you're interested in buying it. But I'll have to decline. I enjoy working on it.
Sorry, not what I meant 🙃
Oops
Hey @rapidmon33 - I know it's tough. Definitely been there. It's normal to have a drop off from download to registration. I downloaded the app and have some thoughts on your onboarding if you like. I can share here for others or DM, lmk.
Sure thing. A DM will be fine.
Sent an email. It's a bit long but hopefully you find it helpful!
You're doing better than me, my MRR with an ebook is an order of magnitude lower.
Here’s wishing that we both reach our destination, fellow traveler.
I guess it boils down to time and luck.
