The future of the web is marketing copy generated by algorithms

Please God, I hope it's not.
+1! There's enough crappy content on the web as it is
I've played around with GPT-3 directly on OpenAI and tried a handful of apps based on it. My experience is sometimes it does an amazing job. Other times it is just awful and I'm not sure why. I think maybe it might perform worse on certain topics vs. others? It feels like training a cat. You have to be extremely specific and even then sometimes it just doesn't get it.
So I use it for things like titles and briefs, but it's basically a game of chance whether or not it gives me something usable or not. I think I spend enough time fiddling with it that it hasn't actually saved me time.
I really doubt this is going to take over. It's pretty obvious when a single person is the own behind a brand's content or copy. You can spot their style. Pretty soon, people are going to be able to tell when there is a GPT-3 bot writing the copy, and we are going to slowly grow tired of it.
The real problem is once we're not able to tell the difference. Thats truly a dystopia, the machines will be creating content as good, or on par, as people. At that point, we won't be able to distinguish between Shakespeare and the computer. Orwellian stuff.
