Building Sentino – an API that helps platforms understand users’ personalities from text to create more human-aware products (chatbots, HR, dating, e-learning, mental health, etc).
Hardest part: finding first users!
Open to partnerships/integrations: https://sentino.org/api
Getting those first users really feels like the hardest part, especially when you’re building a product like Sentino that needs the right audience to appreciate its value.
What’s helped others on Indie Hackers is thinking in terms of channels and context — for example, joining communities where your early adopters already hang out (like niche subreddits or forums related to text analytics, HR tools, or education platforms) and genuinely adding value before even mentioning a signup link. That often opens doors faster than broad outreach.
Curious — have you tried hyper-targeted outreach to a specific segment (e.g., HR tech, chatbot devs, e-learning orgs) and framed Sentino around the exact problem they’re solving? That usually helps dial in early traction.
Tailoring the pitch makes all the difference. For HR tech, it’s about automated candidate profiling; for chatbot devs, it’s about dynamic personality adaptation without long forms. We've seen much better responses once we stopped pitching general psychometrics and started targeting their exact workflow friction.
Where can I reach out?

Finding those first users is a precision game. Have you tried hyper-targeted outreach to product leads in one specific vertical like HR tech? Your selling a more human-aware product not just another API. It's a direct way to validate the idea with the right people.
Happy to go for a partnership tho:)
That framing is spot on! Selling a human-aware layer vs. just another API is definitely where the real value lies for product leads.
And I'm always open to partnerships: info@sentino.org ;)
Hey Deniss really like what you’re building with Sentino human-aware APIs feel like the next big step in personalization I actually help early-stage founders get their products featured on outlets like Yahoo or Digital Trends to attract early adopters and build credibility fast A story around how Sentino helps chatbots understand emotion could click really well with editors and early users.
Hey, thanks! Appreciate the kind words on Sentino.
Right now we’re focused on direct product integrations and developer traction, but I’d be curious to learn more about your setup. How do you typically structure these editorial features, and do you operate on a performance basis?
