The Hardest Part of Being A Developer (after 12 years)

Picking a programming language
Syntax
Databases
App or website decisions
Styling
Design

Development is all of these things, but is not the most important part

After 12 years being a self taught coder, getting software engineering contracts, holding the CTO role.

The hardest part is digging deep when you come across a bug or decision that sticks with you for a while.

Not minutes
Not hours
A bug that you can't easily solve for days.

You literally hit a wall and try all sorts of ways to get around, over, through it and still no luck.

This is the hardest part.

The best way to fix this is to:

  • break your problem down into smaller pieces
  • google for solutions
  • talk to others more experienced

The problem is talking to people has historically been very tricky. So I made this video call room for developers looking to talk.

It's a 24/7 open video call room, made for you.

Join and share with any developers you know. https://vibehut.io/rooms/6303cec659d18f0016a69f3c
