The hardest part of building an AI product is not the AI

I used to think the biggest challenge in building an AI SaaS product would be the model, the features, or the output quality.

But the more we build Pixizen, the more I realize the harder problem is workflow design.

AI can generate an image.
AI can write copy.
AI can create a video concept.

But a real user does not wake up thinking, “I need one generated asset.”

They think:

“I need to promote this product.”
“I need to launch this campaign.”
“I need to make this offer look professional.”
“I need to move faster than my competitors.”

That means the real product challenge is not just generation. It is connecting the steps between idea, asset, campaign, and business outcome.

For small teams, this matters a lot. They do not have time to manage ten different tools, rewrite the same prompt repeatedly, resize every asset manually, or rebuild the same campaign structure from scratch.

So the question I keep coming back to is:

Should AI SaaS products focus less on “what can we generate?” and more on “what business workflow can we remove?”

Curious how other founders think about this.

When you use AI tools, do you value better output quality more, or a smoother workflow that saves operational time?
