The hardest part of building something new isn't the technology.

It's maintaining conviction through the ambiguity.

This week: the PRD is done, the first test data looks good, we have an engineer we want to bring on, and we still don't have a name. Four things that all matter, all moving at the same time, none of them finished. That's what the early days feel like.

What keeps us grounded is the problem. We go back to it constantly. A parent with two kids in different schools gets, on average, dozens of school communications a week across email, apps, newsletters, and group chats. A meaningful fraction of them require some kind of action — a form to sign, money to send, a date to block. The cost of missing one can range from inconvenient (missed picture day) to serious (missed medication form, missed emergency protocol update).

We're building something that just handles this. Quietly, in the background, without asking the parent to do anything differently.

That problem is real enough to keep us moving even when the week feels messy.
