Most indie makers let their side-projects drag out for way too long...
Rather than giving your project 20% effort over 2 years, give it 100% for 4 months, then decide if you should continue working on it or shut it down to work on a new idea.
I wish I applied this earlier on my current side-project - Featurebase
For projects like couples, some are just the road, and others the goal. You can learn from your side projects and get more focused on your main one. BTW Featurebase it's amazing, my best wishes on that.
The counterpoint to this recommendation is that most indie makers can't afford to quit their day job to roll the dice for 4 months until there's enough validation around the idea to justify the risk.
If your point is to only invest in one side-project at a time so it gets the full focus of your after-hours time, that makes sense.
Nice choice of theme with TailwindCSS. Your site looks really sharp.
Thanks 😊 Our current design is the 5th iteration, this is the first one I don’t hate after a few weeks.
