The importance of quick start guides!

Great article! I experienced it to be very helpful to write a good documentation (including Guides) for reflecting my work. In that process I need to go very deep into why/how I build something, so that I often come up with new ideas for improvements or finding bugs. Do you experience the same, when writing documentation, guides or supportarticles?
