Use ≠ abuse. Is it ok for somebody to come home after work, tired and dedicate his time to writing a framework that you will just use for free, while his wife and kids are not able to get quality time with the dad? But for you, it's convenient to mindlesly run npm install, so that your venture can evolve and bring you profit, is that right?
