When we wanted to get our cashflow a bit better under control, I started looking for financial models and templates I could re-use for our business. I found that most templates were more suited for VC backed startups, or just had too many bells and whistles. So I decided to build our own very simple cashflow forecast and since speaking with other founders about it, they'd asked if they could get some more info on it, so I decided to write it up.
Happy to share more details: code, scripts, airtable, ... for the people who'd like to set this up for their own.
Thanks for sharing this Jesse - very sound and detailed approach.
@filippo_b, a fellow indiehacker was dealing with this same exact problem with his first startup. So he built https://sturppy.com/
Essentially it's an excel alternative platform for building, managing, and sharing financial models.
You should check it out some time!
Cool, looks interesting. I will check it out. Tnx
