The internet is no longer built for people with neurodivergence

No matter how many accessibility extensions and apps are published, the truth of the matter is everyone is trying to just go for as much monetization as possible.

This race to monetization has led to severe crisis of attention for people who just want to read something online. The internet is still primarily a text-based platform and the constant ads, sidebars, and popups do really make reading that much more difficult.

As someone with ADHD who works in the content marketing industry, reading online is a nightmare and what sucks even more is that, I have to do it because it is my job. Researching online on websites where ads rule your attention, it just leads to lower productivity and sometimes even me missing my deadlines.

Yes, adblockers exist and I use them too, but the dependence on external tools just to make the web readable is a sad condition.
