The "it's good enough" approach

Over the last year at FlippedNormals, we've had a tremendous amount of development going on. Everything from our gallery system to how customers review products.

And ultimately, none of it has gone live...
We've let our own expectations and need for perfection get in the way.

When we initially started hiring developers for FlippedNormals, we approached it with a mindset of trying to improve upon what existed and making that work solidly.
Over this past year, as development grew, so did our expectations. It came to a point where we wouldn't release a new feature until it was absolutely perfect. This has slowed progress significantly and has meant that we basically haven't pushed any noteworthy update to the marketplace in 2020.

As the title indicates, going forward we'll be focusing on making features good enough. That's not to say that we don't want to have clean designs and bug-free features, but I believe this allows us to push many more features a lot faster.
We'll develop features until we can see that they've replaced the existing ones and improves upon them. They don't need to be perfect at launch. They can have bugs, but as long as what we push is an improvement, I'll be happy.

Let's see how 2021 shapes up and if this new strategy will work better.
