While building JustBlogged, we've noticed something interesting.
Most effort goes into writing the first draft.
Very little time goes into the final review before publishing.
Yet that's often where the biggest improvements happen: shortening paragraphs, clarifying ideas, fixing awkward transitions, and checking whether the article actually answers the reader's question.
I'm curious:
What's part of your publishing checklist that you think more creators should adopt?
The one we added and kept: a final check on the first line alone, before the rest is 'finished.' We started treating the opening as a separate asset — if it wouldn't stop a scroll, we rewrote it even when the body was done. Body polish mattered little next to the hook deciding whether the post got read at all. Now it's the only thing we review in isolation.
Really good to know about your observations!
