I woke up at 6am, reached for my phone before my eyes fully adjusted, and opened Product Hunt.

I'd imagined this moment for weeks. Top 10. Maybe top 5. Comments rolling in. That orange "Product of the Day" badge sitting next to KNav's name.
The reality: a handful of upvotes. Crickets in the comments. Somewhere around #47 on the daily rankings, buried beneath AI wrappers and Notion templates.
I refreshed. Then refreshed again. As if the numbers might rearrange themselves into something more palatable.
They didn't.
I know what I'm supposed to say here. It's a learning experience. Launches don't define products. Most successful companies had quiet beginnings.
All true. I'll probably believe it in a week.
But right now? Right now it just stings.
You pour months into something. You obsess over details nobody will notice. You tell yourself this is the one—the project that breaks through. And then the internet shrugs and keeps scrolling.
I'm not writing this for sympathy. I'm writing it because I think we only share the wins. The "we hit #1" posts. The revenue screenshots. The hockey stick graphs.
Nobody talks about the launches that land with a thud.
So here's mine.
KNav still works. The product is still good. Users who find it will still get value from it.
Tomorrow I'll dust off and figure out what's next.
Today, I'm just going to sit with this one for a bit.
