The Marketplace

Hey everyone! I wanted to share a project we built with some friends and get your thoughts on it.

It’s an API marketplace platform, similar to RapidAPI, but designed with a focus on the LATAM region.

The idea came up because we found RapidAPI a bit slow and not as intuitive as we’d like, and using PayPal wasn’t ideal for bringing payments to LATAM.

To better fit our local context, we built the entire payment flow with MercadoPago.
For now, payments are disabled since we want to simplify part of the process before fully enabling it.

With one account, you can:

• Create APIs with custom pricing and quota plans

• Assign different plans to specific endpoints

• Define a test endpoint so others can try it before subscribing

• Consume APIs using a token obtained after subscription

The integration with MercadoPago and the setup for tax data are still under review.
We know it’s not perfect yet, so if you want to try creating an API, we recommend using mock data for now. That will be changed for sure
