As a builder I used to only track progress: features shipped, users gained, sales made.
What I ignored was regress. The repeated slips that kept slowing me down.
Once I started logging failures, the same patterns appeared again and again. Breaking those gave me more momentum than any new growth tactic.
Congrats on launching 🚀! The toughest part isn’t building, it’s getting visibility in the early days. When I launched my first project, I wasted weeks submitting to directories one by one. That’s actually why we built (StartupSubmit .app)— it helps founders get listed on 300+ startup directories without the manual grind. Getting that exposure gave me my first wave of users. Wishing you lots of traction ahead!
Curious if anyone else here has tried logging regress instead of just progress?
