Partly working on my own little publishing/software business (currently bootstrapped and profitable with a team of three) and partly sticking around to answer questions and be helpful about mom test, custdev, or whatever else I can help out with.
so when building your business, did you follow the mom test? :D
Of course :). But it probably didn't look like you might expect. Even though I talk about "keeping it casual" and "incognito conversations" throughout the book, everyone still thinks that custdev has to involve a bunch of formal meetings. When I do it, it just looks like I'm chatting to a friend about their work over a coffee. So it's easy to miss.

Some tools for indie and self-pub authors. First one (just went "live" yesterday, but still working out some issues and haven't told anyone) helps with gathering feedback from beta readers; second is for page layout (has some tech challenges to feel polished, will be a couple more months). I'll probably list them once they has some revenue, but still a month or two away from that, at the earliest.
