The moment my reading app stopped being a reading app (and became a marketplace)

I really liked the idea behind "median quality is the growth strategy." It feels like a very different problem from the usual "how do we get more content?"
I spent a few minutes browsing the hub, and one thing I noticed is that I wasn't asking myself "Are there enough books?" — I was wondering "Why should I open this one first?"

It made me think that as supply grows, discovery might become just as important as content quality. Things like reader signals, momentum, or "why this book" cues could end up doing as much for perceived quality as moderation itself.
