The Next Million Dollar Hustle?

The Trend: Cloud Kitchen

I’m sure you guys saw that Mr. Beast video where he opened THREE HUNDRED restaurants overnight? How on god’s green earth did he pull that off? With cloud kitchens. Cloud Kitchens are just in their infancy but will be a multi-billion-dollar business within the decade and I have no doubt about that. Now is the time to capitalize on this. Cloud Kitchens are simply like owning a restaurant with a drop shipping business model. An order is placed through you and an industry kitchen that 30+ restaurants share make the food and have it delivered through a food delivery app. This is so much better than selling crusty and dusty ass shirts from China made of string and factory worker tears that take 3 months to arrive to the customer. Once you get going too most of the work is pretty hands off as well which is nice. It's not totally set and forget, but it's much easier than having to start an actual restaurant.

The Opportunity

If you have a bomb menu and the dream to start a food business but don’t have the capital to invest into a brick-and-mortar location right now this is the logical first step. This is going to be the future too! Think of how many niche food opportunities are out there on apps like GrubHub, DoorDash, UberEATS, etc.

The Execution

Do some research on what areas support cloud kitchens. Using Mr. Beasts’ locations is probably a good start. Research all of the restaurants on GrubHub and other food delivery apps and see what types of menus may have underrepresentation. Compare that with demographics to understand the potential size of that market early.

I think there is also a SaaS/service play for those of you who want to cater to these business owners specifically. Possibly a platform to help them manage these orders, market their business, etc.
