Tonight is going to be a hard night to sleep.
Tomorrow, I launch the KickStarter for my very own, first entrepreneurial project SketchyReq. It's the first, big project I've ever released to the world, my first real entrepreneurial project, my first attempt at fundraising outside of charity work.
It's terrifying.
I've already attracted a fair bit of attention to the project (33 followers before the launch is pretty okay!) as well as a bit of fair and unfair criticism. I'm going into tomorrow cautiously optimistic and relatively well-prepared. I have my budget written out justifying the costs of running the project, a new Twitter profile created to handle user questions and such, and the marketing material and a (horrifically designed) landing page finished as well.
Now, the wait.
My office is quiet, save the snoring dogs and the humming of my network switch behind me and my head is abuzz with doubts and hopes. It's a crazy night! Hopefully, tomorrow goes well, my project is picked up and it generates interest. The next 60 days will be a marathon, not a sprint, and I have to be prepared for that.
For now, though, I will try to force myself to sleep!

Enjoy the process and try and ignore the results.
I know many folks who built successful businesses and the process of launching on kickstarter helped them get really good at telling their story.
Rooting for you Mitch!
Great advice!
