The obligatory "Looking for co-founders" post
I have begun work on a social gaming platform that I wish existed but doesn't and I am really excited about that!
The one-liner pitch is basically that it's Lost (as in the TV show) meets the Amazing Race (the other TV show). You commit (as in long-term) to join a group of 10 strangers from all over the world, then you get to know them through chat while competing with them against other groups in a variety of team competition style games. I'm calling it TenSouls.
I am a full-stack engineer looking for other talented, technical/design co-founders. Hit me up if your looking for something interesting to do and let's talk.

Hey Tim - this is a cool idea, and great comparison with Lost meets Amazing Race! That was helpful.
It's also kind of similar to my project (www.tribefive.me for reference) so if you ever want to trade notes / brainstorm on how to get groups of strangers to cooperate, let me know =)
Re: co-founder
While you are searching for a co-founder, you should put up a landing page and start driving traffic to it. This will help a co-founder better understand your vision of the project, and it'll show him / her that you are serious.
And along the way, you'll certainly learn new insights about what potential customers think of the idea.

Thanks Jonathan. Checked out your site, love the idea. Yes I see some definite similarities here minus the gaming aspect, I think we can definitely help each other out as things progress.
I also really like your landing page first approach, I think I will take you up on that advice. Did you develop the marketing page yourself or farm it out? I'm just getting started, if you know of anyone that specializes in that, kindly let me know. Admittedly this is not my forte.

I used Wix (WYSIWYG editor). They have default templates you can pick from, and an easy form builder to start collecting email addresses.
I STRONGLY suggest you build out the landing page by yourself. The reason is because at this point in time, you have only a vague vision of what this product will be, what problem it solves for your users, etc.
The only way you'll clarify that vision is by building a version one of the landing page, getting feedback on it, and iterating (based on the feedback).
For what it's worth...I've probably done 20 major iterations on Tribe of Five. Versions 1-19 are cringe worthy but I learned so much along the way.
