Hi all,
I built IdealWeek (https://idealweek.net) to solve the gap between big ambitions and what actually happens on Monday morning.
Three things that make it different:
- Long-Term Vision: define 5 and 10-year life goals, then connect them all the way down to weekly actions
- Idea Capture: capture ideas on the fly, brainstorm with Mindmap, and convert insights into OKRs
- Motivation Layer: daily sparks, consistency streaks, and micro-challenges that keep you showing up Available on iOS and Android.
For anyone interested, you can get your first 3 months free using this code: PF3MONTHS. It's only valid through this Sunday!
App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id6767594490
Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.idealweek.app
Brutal feedback welcome.
Brutal feedback: the product sounds useful, but the positioning feels too wide right now.
5-year goals, 10-year vision, ideas, mindmaps, OKRs, motivation, streaks, challenges — all of that may be inside the app, but it gives a new user too much to understand before they feel the core value.
The sharper entry point might be much simpler:
“Turn your long-term goals into a realistic week.”
That is the pain people feel immediately. They don’t wake up needing OKRs. They wake up with ambition, scattered ideas, and a week that does not match the life they say they want.
I’d make the first user win very small: create one goal, build one realistic week, complete one action.
If useful, I can put the tighter version in writing. The main thing I’d map is the landing page message, first-week onboarding, and the activation moment that makes someone come back.
Thank you so much for this feedback! Really appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed breakdown.
You're totally right about the entry point—focusing on 'turning long-term goals into a realistic week' makes a lot of sense. Simplifying the onboarding and reducing the overwhelming feeling for new users will definitely be my priority for the next release.
Appreciate the response, Cam.
Would be interesting to continue the conversation as you work through those changes.
