I am currently working on the landing page for my idea startup/idea to capture my first early adopters.
I immediately noticed my biggest challenge was comming up with effective lines that will capture the attention of others and clearly communicate what my idea is about and why it is valuable.
I sat down for 2 hours to brainstorming bulletpoints, catch phrases, and headers.
Anyone has any tips on how to best approach this task?
Honestly I don't care much about the actual software tools or technical approach I will need for my landing page. I am aware of A/B testing as well.
I am most interested to know how do I come up with the initial message I would like to communicate?
What has worked for you?
Warm regards,
Indie hacker newbie
There is a niche of copywriters, they have lists of effective tested words to use for example.
And also formats to use etc.
A big marketing tactics that's old as time goes something like pain-resolve
Are you having this problem? And it really hurts? Like really? Your having this and that... Look no more, we have solved it for you! Interducing X, that solve Y, my doing Z.
(This is a long version to explain, can be short versioned to 10 words..)
Other way to think:
There is also a less effective selling pleasure way.
It's all under marketing, human behaviour (behaviour economics) and copy writing is the most specific
Also use their words as part of identifying with them not yours
It's hard to say without knowing more specifics, but who are you trying to get the attention of? What age group/education level/socioeconomic background? What are they most likely to respond to? Think about things from their perspective - ask yourself why you would want to use it if you were them.
Are they busy people - will your product save them time? Are they broke - will you save them money? Do they have a lot of money - will your product raise their social status in some way?
