The perfect sale of your business

Selling my eComm Agency Demac Media now https://www.bounteous.com/ changed my life.

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Lot's of the process was painful. The deal almost fell through many times. I thought I was alone, turns out, most exited founders had the same experience.

The insight, a decent business who is prepared will get a better deal than a great business who isn't. The main technique is keeping things organized. Being organized means you’re prepared. Organized means getting rid of complexity in the process.

I wanted to create a 5 Star experience for small-medium size digital businesses (Agencies, eComm, SaaS, etc) to sell, get financing, or raise capital. To get the perfect deal for their business.

I created https://www.getoutput.io/

"Everything a business owners need to get the best deal, close in weeks, at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods." Basically all the tools I wish we had before we started, but now have after.

Tools that:

  1. Get you confident fast.
  • access to private comps, and a network of 30+ exited founders.
  1. Eliminate recreating the wheel.
  • access to 100 + templates from PE, VC, and Exited business that are used industry wide.
  1. Get real buyers.
  • a way to showcase and tackle the important questions first.
  1. Don't drain your business momentum.
  • a set of tools, processes, and models that eliminate the unnecessary repetitive meetings.

Status and problems as of today:

  1. Launched early January. Self funded and bootstrapped (solo founder).
  2. Quickly learned that need to partner with brokers, and marketplaces. Not compete. They have all the deal flow (buyers).
  3. Learning my target customer is $250K - $5M EBITDA & Digital Native business model. They are too small for PE, to large to self list on marketplaces.
  4. Learned. Flat Fee productized service, focused only on "preparation" is the missing piece. Value prop = get a better deal.
  5. I'm doing all the work (former COO and CFO) so I understand the product and outputs. I'm also fairly technical (taught myself to be a dev). So far business of 1.

Wish me luck, or roast away ! but i'm going to indiehack the hell out of this business and get it to work.
