The problem with folders is that you have to remember the folder.

With folders, if you forget the name, you're lost. There's no middle ground between remembering it exactly and not finding it at all.

Tags fix the first step - but most tagging apps stop there. They give you a search box and a flat list. You still have to remember.

Supertags works differently. You only need to remember one tag. The app figures out the rest.

Type "mom". The app doesn't just show you items tagged mom - it shows you what tags appear alongside mom, ranked and sorted however you prefer:

• Combo count - how many items have both "mom" and this suggested tag

• Individual count - how many items this suggested tag has in total

• Overlap count - how many of those are shared with other tag combinations

So when "food" appears as a suggestion next to a combo count of 3 and an individual count of 11, you already know something: food is a big tag, but it gets specific fast when paired with mom. That's useful before you've clicked anything.

Beyond counts, you can sort suggestions by when items were last created, updated, searched, or touched. You can sort by group or colors if you've organized tags into manual groups or colors.

Each of these is a different lens on the same set of tags - and switching between them takes one tap.

This is what folders could never do. A folder doesn't tell you what's next to it. It doesn't show you how it relates to other folders, how recently things inside it moved, or how specific it gets in combination with something else.
