The transportation sector has almost come to a standstill due to the Coronavirus. Now, most of the countries have introduced lockdown relaxation and are slowly moving towards the new normal. Public transportation and other vehicles pose a threat as people are in close proximity to others. On the other hand, people can maintain social distancing through micro-mobility transport systems like an e-bike.

I believe that the introduction of electric scooters in the lives of citizens would be instrumental in our new times with Covid19. People enter full subways and trains. Everyone is constantly standing in a crowd, breathing on each other and carrying the disease. If everyone rode scooters, they'd be able to 1. reduce the number of accidents; 2. reduce traffic jams on the roads; 3. keep a distance between each other. Like any vehicle, the scooter keeps the distance between cars on the roadway, unlike passers-by standing in a dense crowd and waiting for the traffic lights to switch. Do you agree with me? I wouldn't mind to ride around the city on a scooter.
