The Real Conversion Killer

Builders add 5 new features to fix low sales, but usually, it's just a trust problem. If your onboarding feels improvised and your pricing page is vague, users bounce before testing the tech. What silent conversion killer have you fixed?

This is one of the most underestimated startup problems.

A lot of founders assume low conversion means “product weakness,” when often it’s actually uncertainty friction:
    unclear positioning,
    weak trust signals,
    confusing pricing,
or onboarding that doesn’t reduce cognitive load fast enough.

Users usually decide emotionally before they evaluate technically.

Most founders treat 'Trust' as a checkbox (testimonials, logos) instead of a sequence.

The biggest silent killer I've seen is the 'Proof Lag': showing the dashboard or results too late in the session. If the hero promise isn't immediately followed by visual proof (even a cropped screenshot), the brain starts looking for the exit.

I'm currently running a $1 'Trust Audit' micro-experiment where I tear down one specific proof-gap on a landing page to see if that helps founders bridge the lag.
