The relentless fight for motivation

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share a piece of motivation for today, a regular sunny Wednesday in my corner of the world 🌎.

Imgur

I've been deeply involved with several startups over the last few years, some as a founder and some as a consultant.

What I've seen in all of them is that:

  • Results come both from the logical iteration of your product and illogical confidence in yourself.
  • Apelling MVPs, effective marketing strategies, and good client relationships take some time.
  • Nevertheless, launch! Your idea, blogpost, demos, whatever, launch something, and gain feedback for your product.

We are finishing https://dialecto.com MVP and I was lacking motivation, so I thought coming back to indie hackers and sharing this post to boost everyone (including myself) a little.

Regards,
Gonzalo

I appreciate the point about illogical confidence in yourself :)

I think you have to be a little bit crazy or obsessive to go down this road, because often the risk/reward doesn't really pencil out. I launched so many failed projects before my first successful one, and I started even more. I think if I'd been super logical about whether this made sense, I'd have just gotten a bank job or something 😂
