The result of 421 HN upvotes on web traffic

I posted this article to Hacker News on Friday afternoon, not expecting much. But it blew up. Seems like a light-hearted article about arcane operating system conventions is like crack to the Hacker News crowd.

Of course most people just jump into the blog post and straight back out, but out of the 30.5k, at least 1.4k clicked through to the home page.
