Hi IH!
In the past few months, I have built TaskRobin.io, an integration tool to help Notion users to seamlessly save their email with all their attachments and meta data to Notion.so.
It is growing slowly but steadily and we have just surpassed the $200 MRR mark. I do see more room for marketing and further growth. But the fact that my SAAS depends on another product kind of holds me back from investing money and time into this project.
I have been trying to look for another platform where I can help the users do the same, but haven't found one that could reduce the platform dependency risk of my SAAS.
What would you recommend me to do in this situation?
There are concerns about being heavily tied to a specific platform because your business now depends on the continued success of a company that you have no control over. Notion is fairly popular right now so you've the ability to ride it but I'd try to look at ways to integrate other offerings.
There will always be a market for a Notion-like product, so keep on top of who the competitors are and try to integrate with them.
This could also be a great opportunity to decouple aspects of your codebase which will make it much easier to work with going forward.
