Hey Indie Hackers,
I'm Sahil Khan, an indie developer working on several different projects and learning a lot along the way. Like many here, my journey has been filled with ups and downs. While my projects haven’t hit the revenue marks I envisioned (zero revenue, to be exact), the learning has been invaluable, and I’m optimistic about what’s ahead.
Lessons from "Failures" 📉
Over the last few months, I've had three ideas that didn't quite take off post-launch. One of them didn’t even make it to launch. In hindsight, each one of these "failed" attempts has been a huge source of insight. I’ve been diving deep into why things didn’t work, whether it was a lack of product-market fit, limited scalability, or the challenge of standing out in a crowded space. It's all shaping my new approach as I focus on making my projects more robust and aligned with what the audience actually needs.
Pivoting to "GetBotyfied" 🤖
My current focus is on a project called GetBotyfied—a chatbot integration platform. Instead of a basic sales pitch, I want the homepage to really connect emotionally with customers, selling the relief and convenience the product brings. The goal is to highlight why this solution will save them both time and effort, with crisp messaging and a direct line to pricing.(https://www.producthunt.com/products/getbotyfied)
Reflections & Next Steps 📝
Building alone isn’t easy, and while I don’t have a lot of experience yet, every project feels like a step closer to my bigger goals. If you're in a similar spot—balancing between ideas, scaling challenges, or just figuring it out as you go—I'd love to connect and share insights. Any tips from more seasoned indie hackers are more than welcome!
Onward and upward!
