The SEO Long Game is Paying Off
Finally.
When I started Album Daily almost a year ago, I read every article on SEO out there. Every one said the same thing:
"Put in the work and reap the benefits later"
I thought, ugh, I can probably game the system somehow right? I can figure this out!
In the end, time was the main factor, and I can finally say that is paying off. The screenshot above is for a search for "Kane Brown Mixtape Vol 1", the album of the day sent out on Monday. Getting on the first page for such a popular album is HUGE, and I think it will have amazing long term effects.
How have you done SEO? What has worked/not worked?

For my product's SEO, I was linking "π΄π΅π³π’π΅π¦π¨πͺπ€ π±π³πͺπ°π³πͺπ΅πͺπ»π¦π³ 1st things 1st" from multiple locations whenever I wrote about it online. After around half a year, if you google the phrase "π΄π΅π³π’π΅π¦π¨πͺπ€ π±π³πͺπ°π³πͺπ΅πͺπ»π¦π³" you get the correct link to the tool on the first page of the search results.
The keywords that you try to feed to the search engines need not be too popular phrases. But instead, the long-tail β something that specifies your product's essence.

I've done well with SEO, specifically in updating/optimizing old posts. Within just one month, I'm already seeing a dramatic increase in clicks.
