The simplest way I’ve found to build an AI WhatsApp chatbot

A lot of businesses rely on WhatsApp for leads and support, but they all hit the same wall: messages pile up, responses are slow, and nothing gets logged or tracked properly.

At Fuzen, we wanted to fix this in the simplest way possible - without requiring anyone to code, hire developers, or build bot logic.

So we built a WhatsApp AI Chatbot template with a WhatsApp Settings Page where any company can create its own WhatsApp AI chatbot just by filling out a few fields.

What the template makes possible

With one template, any business can set up:

• a WhatsApp Business number

• an AI chatbot trained on its own instructions

• full chat logging inside a CRM

• automatic lead creation whenever someone messages

No coding.
No workflow builder.
No dedicated “bot developer.”
Everything is configured through the settings page.

How companies create their chatbot using the settings page

1. Connect WhatsApp via Twilio

Inside the template, there’s a simple form where businesses paste:

• Twilio Account SID

• Twilio Auth Token

• WhatsApp Business Number

Once saved, their WhatsApp number becomes active inside the CRM.

2. Train the chatbot using OpenAI (no technical setup)

The settings page has a field for an OpenAI API key.

• Create an OpenAI Assistant

• Add instructions about their business

• Upload product/service documents if they want

• Copy the Assistant ID into the settings page

That’s it. The chatbot now understands their business and responds accordingly.

3. Chats turn into structured leads automatically

Every WhatsApp message becomes:

• a new lead with name + phone

• full chat transcript

• intent + conversation details

Teams can jump in anytime, but the AI handles the early conversation.

Why we built it this way

Most small businesses don’t want to:
