The sky over San Francisco is an orange fireball
I left SF years ago, and Courtland followed suit about a month ago. So both of us are stuck hearing about the crazy sky inferno from friends. The cover image above is from one of Courtland's friends.
If you haven't been following, pretty much the entire west coast of the US is on fire right now, and it's gotten so bad that it's turned the sky into some sort of Lovecraftian horror.
Seriously, which one is San Francisco, and which one is a sci-fi movie?

Just yesterday, my kids and I watched a documentary about space, and they learned how in 5 billion years our sun will turn into a red giant. Today, they said "It's already happening!" 😯
Wow. Can't take my eyes off the second one.
Where I live it was so dark all morning, it felt like dusk until the afternoon. Even that sentence sounds weird.

Aussie here. Reminds me of those weeks just before corona hit.
The fires stopped in the winter, but we're coming into spring again just this week, and it's going to be our turn again soon.
