The Steps I Took To Increase My Communities Conversion Rate

My name is Tiago and I am the founder of the Wannabe Entrepreneur Slack Community.

I noticed that about 25% of the peeps that were coming to my landing page were actually clicking on the join button.

But the paywall was discouraging the peeps from trying out our slack channel.

Here is what I have done to improve that:

Now people can join the community for FREE with Read Only access.
That allows people to join our slack and check out what is happening there.

Upon joining they will get a message connecting them with a few active members of the community.

Now I need to convert the "Guest" to become a full-time member!

For that, I wait until they try to send a message on one of the channels!

The message is deleted and the guest is immediately notified that to send messages they need to upgrade their plan 😉

Is still too soon to see if these steps will increase my conversion rate but so far I have seen many people joining the slack channel as guests 😉
