So here goes for the second post. After getting some encouragement on my first one, I've become motivated on writing something new sooner than I would have otherwise.
As stated earlier I like games and playing them has been something I've done for almost the entirety of my life (thanks dad) and which is also the reason I'm in the field of working that I'm in.
Even though I'm not in the games industry I still want to be a part of it so last year I tought I give game development a shot seeing as I already was working as a deverloper on other things. After attending one Unity course and reading a whole lot of developer blogs I realized that this would take a whole lot more time than I probably was willing to sacrifice.
Apart from the gaming industry being way saturated aswell I'm pretty sure I made a good choice by opting out (huge cudos to those people that stick with it though). I still wanted to start something that involves gaming. Finally one day I realized why not write about them.
By sticking to what I already know which is Java and some Angular development (frontend development isn't my strong suite) I came to the conclusion to start my own gaming news site.
Being someone that consumes a whole lot of gaming news, both via sites and youtube I feel that there is room for at least one more participant, when it comes to reporting and talking about video/PC games.
Like I said in my earlier post I realized that developing seems to be only half the work. As the other half involves growing an audience and marketing which I have some idea about how to do but have never done before we'll se how that goes. But seing as this buisness will revolve around content creation I also need to get somewhat good at writing stuff.
Hopefully you will bear with my posts around my journey as I will use this as an opportunity to become a better writer. But feel free to critique it, both my grammar or my english(being that english is not my first or second language, but third)
Cheers
