The ups and downs of building solo (would love to hear your stories too)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been walking the solo founder path for a while now, and honestly… it’s a mix of exciting breakthroughs and late-night “what am I even doing?” moments. 😅

Some days I feel on top of the world because I solved a tough problem, and other days I stare at my screen wondering if anyone will ever care about what I’m building.

Right now I’m working on uSpeedo ai, an AI tool to help creators and small teams with marketing. But more than the product itself, what’s been most challenging is keeping momentum as a team of one. Balancing product decisions, self-doubt, and trying to get feedback all at the same time is tough.

(If you are open to offer feedback, pls try it here: https://uspeedo.ai/?SaleCode=JT5684 . Any feedback means a lot to me right now.)

I’d love to know from others here:

What helps you keep going when you hit those solo walls?
Do you have any routines, habits, or communities that keep you grounded?
How do you balance building vs. getting feedback when you don’t have a team yet?

I’d really appreciate hearing how you all handle the solo grind.

I hear you! Being a solo founder is such a wild mix of exhilaration and existential dread. The “did anybody actually care?” thoughts hit me hard on nights I had no feedback or traction.

What’s helped me get through those days is sprinkling small, non-negotiable rituals throughout the week—like a 5-minute end-of-day journal recording one progress increment or a quick “what went well” note. Not only does it preserve momentum, but it also builds cumulative focus these quieter days.

Curious; what rituals or habits have helped you keep sane through the rollercoaster highs and lows?
